RMA Lao Golfs for a Great Cause
December 10th, 2018 Vientiane – Lao Ford City and Lao Jaguar Land Rover teamed up as Gold sponsors for the second edition of ˜Austcham Charity Golf Day’ at the Long Vien Golf Club on December 10th, with all proceeds going to the Lao Disabled Women’s Development Center (LDWDC).
Organized for the second consecutive year by Austcham Lao PDR, the event gathered golf fans and Lao Ford City partners and stakeholders, in addition to over 30 local players who played golf for a great cause.
Lao Disabled Women’s Development Center supports a community of disabled women providing them with access to education and employment while working to change the public conversation around disabilities.
œLDWDC’s work is fundamental in empowering disabled communities. RMA Lao allocated funds from the Austcham Charity Golf Day to support their cause and to strengthen the fabric of the communities in which we operate, said Simon Hirst, Group Country Manager, RMA Lao.
Lao Ford City parked the all-new Ford Ranger Wildtrak 2019 near the first hole, giving players and attendees the chance to have a firsthand look at the latest vehicle to hit the market in between rounds of golf.
Meanwhile, Lao Jaguar Land Rover dazzled the crowd with the Land Rover Discovery Sport and Jaguar XE.
The event closed with an award ceremony. Two prizes went to closest to the pin, two to players who got the longest drive, and an award each for players ranking 5th to 1st place. Simon Hirst handed over the first prize to Tom Marshall, the competition winner.
With 2019 on the horizon, RMA Lao will continue supporting events that strengthen and uplifts local communities.
