Ford Myanmar of Capital Automotive Limited Wins Two MCOTY Awards
November 27th, 2019 Yangon – Ford Myanmar of Capital Automotive Limited (CAL), Ford’s sole distributor and dealer in Myanmar, brought home two prestigious Myanmar Car of the Year 2019 Awards (MCOTY), with the Ranger Raptor named Best Pick Up Truck and the New Ford EcoSport titled Best City SUV. Winners were announced during the show, held at Junction Square on November 27th.
Now in its third year, this marked one of the biggest MCOTY Awards to date, with 40 car models from 11 international and local brands represented and an attendance of over 300 guests. Ford’s sales and marketing team, along with Managing Director of Capital Automotive Burak Demirtas, were on the ground representing Ford.

This year’s winners were selected by a panel of respected motoring journalists. Vehicles were judged on standards of safety, value, performance and style in their respective categories.
By virtue of its notable carry load, durability and performance, the Ranger Raptor was recognized as Best Pick Up Truck. Meanwhile, the New Ford EcoSport’s ability to navigate city streets, along with enhanced safety features and compact size pushed it into winning Best City SUV.
CAL Myanmar took home an MCOTY Award in 2018 and is honored to have been recognized again this year.
