Ford Myanmar Celebrates the Legendary Ford GT40

January 18^th, 2019 Yangon – Capital Automotive Ford Myanmar held a special viewing of the award-winning movie, ˜Ford v Ferrari’, at JCGV on January 18^th, attended by 100 guests.

 

The event was joined by Myanmar’s top automotive magazines and websites, including special guests from the American Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar (AMCHAM) and the U.S. Embassy in Myanmar, plus many more.

 

The evening kicked off with lively media interviews as guests began streaming in. Mike Pease, Business Strategy & External Relations of Capital Automotive, welcomed the crowd and gave everyone a brief update on Ford Myanmar. This was followed up with an introduction of the movie.

 

Event-goers were treated to a VIP viewing of ˜Ford v Ferrari’. Released in late 2019, the inspiring story follows automotive idol Carroll Shelby and the team’s mission to build the legendary Ford GT40 for the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France. The movie received four Oscar nominations, including an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture of the Year.
