US Ambassador Visits RMAAC Ford Assembly Plant

Phnom Penh, July 14th, 2022 – RMA Automotive Cambodia welcomed Mr. Patrick Murphy, the US Ambassador to Cambodia to an official visit and factory tour of the new Ford Assembly Plant.

Located in a fast-developing automotive production zone in Pursat Province, RMA Automotive Cambodia invested over USD 21 million in the purpose built facility, launched on June 16th, 2022.

It is the first assembly facility for the US automaker in Cambodia and it has received full accreditation by Ford Motor Company for the manufacture of Ford vehicles. Production has begun on the Next-Generation Ford Ranger and Ford Everest exclusively for the Cambodian market.

During his visit Mr Murphy met with Production Manager Sok San and facility management who then took him on a plant tour. Along the way the ambassador and the US delegation were given explanations of the key manufacturing stations of the production process.
