Ford Aftersales Competition 2023

Laem Chabang, Thailand May 17, 2023. The RMA Ford Aftersales Competition took place at ADC on May 16-17. The competition was last held in 2019 and suffered a three year interruption due to the travel restrictions caused by Covid.

Hosted by the RMA Academy, the competition is an opportunity for Ford Technicians, Service Advisors and Parts Consultants from RMA Ford markets in Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar to compete for recognition as well as for cash prizes while also receiving a rewarding travel experience. Neil McGuigan and Alan Vale adjudicated the various challenges with the support of the entire technical training team based at ADC.

The competition was split into categories for Technicians, Service Advisors and Parts Consultants. Technicians were each given four tasks covering VCMM / VMS equipment, electrical theory, electrical diagnostics and a Ford data analysis task.

The competition for Service Advisors and Parts Advisors included written tests in their respective fields of expertise, a warranty quiz and problem scenario (Service Advisor) and a part identification task and specific part selection task for multiple vehicles (Parts Consultant).

Ford APDM representatives followed the competition and attended the awards ceremony. Tom Whitcraft addressed all participants at the awards ceremony and congratulated them on behalf of RMA Group management.

The first, second and third places winners from each category each received recognition trophies and cash prizes. All participants received a recognition certificate, and RMA Special Vehicles and Ford merchandize.
