Capital Motors Holds Uplifting CSR and Team Building Activity at YGW Orphanage School
May 4th– 6th 2018, Myanmar – RMA Myanmar, John Deere and Capital Automotive of RMA Group all joined up in support of the œWe Care For You program, a CSR and team building program initiated by employees from CML (Capital Motors Limited).
Aimed at supporting schools in rural areas of Myanmar, the Yellow Generation Wave (YGW) Orphanage School in Pathein Township at the Ayeyarwady Region received a 4,000 gallon water storage tank including piping work, electric power supply, lighting, and a fresh repaint of the school building. Building a better infrastructure allows children to focus on what’s most important – their future. The students at the YGW Orphanage can now receive education in a positive learning environment, benefiting the local community for years to come.
In addition to improving the infrastructure, toys, stationery, books, sporting goods, medicine and funds with a total value of over 10.3 million Kyats were donated to the orphanage. Around 90% of the donations came from CML staff, while the remaining donations came from CAL, John Deere and RMA Myanmar.
œGiving back to the community, especially to the children, has always been a large part of Capital Motors’ CSR initiative. We are proud to have been able to support the YGW Orphanage school through this activity and uplift children in rural areas. Capital Motors believes that children are the future, and we will continue conducting such activities to support this. I am honored to be a part of a team that has enthusiastically done their part to give back to society, stated Virote Sawangchange, CML Operation Manager.
To make the day even more special, meals and entertainment were provided for the 120 orphaned children. RMA Myanmar, Capital Motors and John Deere are all working to expand upon their CSR activities in the upcoming months, ensuring local communities in Myanmar are not only supported, but can thrive on their own.
