RMA Lao British Embassy Jaguar I-Pace Handover Ceremony

Vientiane, February 25th, 2022 – RMA Lao’s Jaguar Land Rover held a handover ceremony for the British Embassy’s new All Electric Jaguar I-Pace.

The Honorable Dr. Khampheng Saysompheng, Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the British Ambassador to Laos PDR Mr. John Pearson, as well as distinguished guests from various embassies, Government, the private sector, and international organizations joined the ceremony held at Jaguar Land Rover’s Showroom.

Guests were welcomed by Mr. Wayne Macintosh, Automotive Managing Director of Lao Ford City, Mr. Biju Narayanan, General Manager of Jaguar Land Rover Lao.

The aim of the event was to congratulate the British Ambassador and the British Embassy for being the first embassy in Laos to have the vision of expanding their scope and promoting sustainable environmental policies by switching to an all-electric vehicle with zero-emissions. The Embassy hopes this move will motivate Government, the private sector, and interna-tional organizations to join in and switch to EV for a sustainable environ-ment and to reduce emissions in Laos.

Jaguar Land Rover Lao is committed to implementing the policy with a switch to zero-emission electric vehicle conversion and is ready to meet the needs for an electric vehicle such as charging stations and aftersales service.
