Avis Budget Cambodia Joins Run for Life Challenge for 2nd Year
December 8th, 2019 Siem Reap – Avis Budget Cambodia joined the Angkor Wat International Half Marathon for its 24th annual incarnation. The Avis Budget Cambodia team, assembled for the inspiring challenge, had a choice of distances from 5km, 10km and 21km.
The Angkor Wat International Half Marathon has been raising relief for victims of anti-personnel landmines since its inception in 1996.
Notably, this was the second consecutive year that the Avis Budget Cambodia team entered the marathon with a marked goal of over 150km distance covered in total.
œFor the past two years, Avis Budget Cambodia has been proudly joining the Angkor Wat International Half Marathon to embrace the beauty of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and to support relief efforts for landmine victims in the country. We unite in effort to inspire hope for victims and their families. We can only do this as a team, and this race always shows us the incredible power of working together, said Sovanarith LY, Acting Operation Manager, Avis Budget of RMA Cambodia.
Run for Life is a campaign within Avis Budget Group, where licensee teams around the world challenge themselves to walk and move more for societal charity activities.
With full support from RMA Cambodia and Avis Budget Group, the team intends to continue this initiative every year henceforth.
