Ford and RMA Unveils the ‘Ultimate Street Truck’, New Ranger with MS-RT Styling at 1.749 MTHB

· Ford Thailand announced a collaboration between Ford dealers and RMA, Ford’s Qualified Vehicle Modifier to launch the Ford Ranger MS-RT, a race-inspired pickup truck tailored for thrill-seeking enthusiasts.

BANGKOK, THAILAND, November 22, 2024 – Ford Thailand announced a partnership program between Ford dealers and RMA Group, an authorized Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) partner, to introduce the Ford Ranger MS-RT to the Thai market. This distinctive vehicle, equipped with a special upgrade package, stems from a long-standing alliance with MS-RT, and M-Sport, Ford’s trusted partner in motorsports activities in Europe. This Ford Ranger MS-RT pickup truck elevates the segment in Thailand as a race-inspired, on-road street truck designed for thrill-seeking enthusiasts. The exclusive Ford Ranger MS-RT, priced at 1,749,000 baht, is offered in two striking colors: Command Grey and Absolute Black with an initial batch of only 200 units available at select Ford dealers.

The Ford Ranger MS-RT first captured attention earlier this year when it was displayed for the first time in March, attracting an overwhelmingly positive response from both consumers and dealer partners.

The Ford Ranger MS-RT serves as a personal statement piece with its unique blend of performance, style, and versatility. It transcends the traditional concept of a pickup truck, reflecting its owner’s personality and turning heads on both city streets and country roads.

The Ultimate Street Truck for Thrill-Seekers

The premium pickup is equipped with Ford’s powerful 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine that delivers 250 PS of power and 600 Nm of maximum torque. It employs a 10-speed automatic transmission and features the 4A 4WD Terrain Management System with six selectable drive modes: Normal, Eco, Slippery, Mud/Ruts, Sand and Tow/Haul for optimal performance in all terrains.

Visually, the Ford Ranger MS-RT exhibits an aggressive front end with a honeycomb grille and integrated splitter. The vehicle’s stance is lowered by sculpted side skirts, and at the rear, there is a distinctive bumper with an integrated diffuser.

The rear tailgate features MS-RT graphics and an exclusive ducktail spoiler, complemented by a cab spoiler. These spoilers have been optimized using computer simulations for overall aerodynamic balance and enhanced high-speed stability.

The vehicle also sports exclusive diamond-cut 21-inch wheels with low‑profile 275/45 R21 tires, which are the largest ever offered on a Ford Ranger. The wheels sit within flared wheel arches that extend the vehicle’s width by 82 mm to give ultimate road presence.

The Ford Ranger MS-RT’s suspension system has been fine-tuned to achieve the perfect blend of comfort and handling. The final design includes newly installed, sturdier dampers at the front, a reconfigured sport suspension set-up, and an overall reduction in height by 40 mm. These modifications not only lend the Ford Ranger MS-RT a more sporting stance but also enhance its handling precision and stability while cornering. Additionally, the Ford Ranger MS-RT in Thailand comes standard with deployable power side steps to aid entry into and exit from the vehicle, enhancing its user-friendly appeal.

Inside, the stylish and comfortable interior features all-new ergonomic sports front seats with enhanced side bolsters for additional support finished in Eco-Leather and suede, with MS-RT logos and blue stitching. It also includes a sculpted sports steering wheel with a blue 12 o’clock marker and matching stitching.
