The Pizza Company Laos Hosts a Blood Donation in Collaboration with The Red Cross

November 24^th, 2017, Vientiane – The Pizza Company proudly hosted a well supported blood donation drive at The Cultural Hall branch on November 24^th-25^th.

The entire restaurant was transformed as a blood donation station with stretchers provided for volunteers to lie down whilst attached giving blood. The event was organized in conjunction with the Red Cross and with the support of the Lao Brewery Company, who sponsored Pepsi and Tigerhead water for the volunteers.

Members of the public were invited to donate blood through social media and various other channels, and they were also joined by staff from other EFG franchises, allowing everyone to participate in donating live saving blood to those in need. TPC staff helped to man the tables and to serve drinks and snacks, and blood donors received either a Texas Chicken or Swensen’s coupon before leaving.

A single unit of donated blood can save up to three lives. For this event, a total of 40 300cc bags of blood were collected by The Red Cross. TPC is honoured to have been able to support the Lao Red Cross and the greater Laos community.
