RMA Group Acquires Altinay ModCenter
RMA Group acquires majority and controlling shareholding in Altinay Modifikasyon Merkezi Ticaret A. and targets European commercial vehicle growth leveraging combined modification, and engineering strengths.
Bangkok, December 30th 2021 - RMA Group, has announced the acquisition of a majority shareholding in Turkey’s Altinay Modifikasyon Merkezi Ticaret A. (Altinay Modification ).
RMA Automotive, a division within RMA Group, is a major global supplier of modified special vehicles with over 30 years of manufacturing experience. Advanced engineering expertise and stringent quality controls have made RMA a dominant leader in the category of robust, and tough vehicles, suited to a range of applications and diverse customer needs. Large fleet customers such as governments, international aid organizations, and private multinational companies rely on RMA’s large-scale capacity and high quality standards.
RMA has a long-standing relationship with the Ford Motor Company and is a Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier.
Altinay Modification is a division of the Altinay Technology Group acting nearly 30 years in Turkey, a company specializing in industrial production automation, robotics, aerospace and defence, and energy storage technologies. Altinay Modification, founded in 2012 by Hakan Altinay, are specialist commercial vehicle modifiers, with modern facilities located immediately adjacent to the Ford Otosan plant in Kocaeli, Turkey. Current output is more than 40,000 vehicles per year, specializing in vehicle personalization for Ford Transits assembled by Ford Otosan.
RMA’s existing commercial vehicle modification business in Turkey, RMA Otomotiv San. ve Tic. Ltd. Åžti., will be integrated into Altinay Modification. RMA Turkey has been in operation since 2011 modifying the Turkish-built Ford Transit as ambulances, aid & development vehicles and medical & commercial transport vehicles for export to global fleet customers. The physical move from RMA Turkey’s Tuzla facility, will lead to a significant increase in competitiveness and manufacturing capacity.
