Round-the-world expedition «Around the World in 70 days with Land Rover»
June 6th, 2018 Moscow – As part of commemoration activities dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Land Rover, a large-scale project will be held in summer 2018. Russian traveler and blogger Sergey Dolya will cross the whole globe on a legendary Discovery within the expedition œAround the World in 70 days with Land Rover .
According to international standards, the voyage can be considered as a round-the-world if the route starts and finishes at the same place and crosses two antipodes – geographical points which are located on the opposite sides of the Earth. And furthermore, mileage should overcome 1000 km in each of six continents. Land Rover team will strictly follow these prescriptions and make everything possible to beat the record of famous Jules Vernes’ characters.
Round-the-world Land Rover trip will start in Moscow on June 7, 2018. The expedition will visit Cheboksary, Ufa, Kurgan, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk and Ulan-Ude. Then it will cross the border of Mongolia and move to China. First important point of the route will be based in Enshi city – an antipode of La Serena in Chile which the expedition will reach 25 days after.
After China Land Rover Discovery will hit the roads of Laos, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, cross Australian coast and head to mountain roads of Chile and wide highways of USA. Then the expedition will head to Europe: throughout Gibraltar to Spain, Andorra, France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. In total, œAround the World in 70 days with Land Rover will drive through 21 countries on six continents: Europe, Asia, Australia, Northern and Southern America and Africa. The journey will finish exactly 70 days after the beginning in its start point – in Moscow on August 15, 2018.
The round-the-world expedition will be headed by famous Russian blogger, traveler and Land Rover brand ambassador Sergey Dolya.
